Welcome New Editorial Board Members: Nikos Hlepas, Mirya Holman, Changhoon Jung




Nikos Hlepas is an Associate Professor of Regional Administration and Self Government at the Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. He has published several books and articles on local governance.



Mirya Holman is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Florida Atlantic University. Her research focuses on women and politics and urban politics, including Women in Politics in the American City (Temple University Press, 2014) and other research on gender politics, urban politics, voting, and race and ethnic politics.



Changhoon Jung is a Professor at Inha University in Korea. His research focuses on interlocal cooperation, state-level tax and expenditure limits, and local government finance. He was previously on the political science faculty at Auburn University as a Center for Government Service Fellow.

Welcome New Editorial Board Members: Michael Craw, Nuno Cruz, Christopher Hawkins



Michael Craw is an Assistant Professor of Public Administration at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s Institute of Government. His research focuses on urban equality, local public finance and community development. His work has appeared in Urban Affairs Review and the American Journal of Political Science.

Nuno Ferreira da Cruz is a Research Fellow at LSE Cities, London School of Economics and Political Science. His research interests include local governance, management and delivery of urban services, privatisation, transparency and sustainability indicators, benchmarking, and a number of interrelated topics. This work has been published in Cities, Public Administration, Local Government Studies, Public Money & Management, Environment and Planning C, Utilities Policy, Omega, among many other venues. He has been a frequent collaborator of the Transparency International movement and he is currently the Coordinator of the ‘New Urban Governance’ project co-funded by the MacArthur Foundation.




Christopher V. Hawkins is an Associate Professor in the School of Public Administration at the University of Central Florida. His research focuses on metropolitan governance, interlocal collaboration, economic development and urban politics, and local sustainability policy. He also serves as director of the Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning program at UCF.

Welcome New Editorial Board Members: Germà Bel, Kenneth Bickers, Robin Boyle

Germà Bel is a Professor of Economics at University of Barcelona, where he is the director of the Pasqual Maragall Chair on Economy and Territory, and of the research unit Government and Markets. He has been a Visiting Professor at Cornell and Princeton. His research focuses on the economics and politics of public sector reform, infrastructure and transportation, and local public services.

Kenneth Bickers is Professor of Political Science at the University of Colorado-Boulder. His current research is focused on the consequences of devolution of federal policy activities to states and local communities, studying campaigns and elections of candidates for local offices, and exploration of the relationship between residential mobility and local politics. He is a member of the executive council of the American Political Science Association's Section on Urban Politics.

Robin Boyle is a Professor of Urban Planning and Chair of the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at Wayne State University. His research focuses on planning and design for an aging society, investment patterns in residential and retail development, and issues of vacant land in central cities. He is co-chair of the Detroit chapter of the Urban Land Institute and serves on the board of the Michigan Suburbs Alliance.
